You Belong Here

You Belong Here

We believe every person belongs in community, serving others, learning and growing, in relationship with God, making an impact in the world! At St. Luke's, this is what we offer to everyone. Throughout 2022 we'll be highlighting the truth that no matter who you are, what you look like, or who you love, YOU are loved by God and YOU BELONG at St. Luke's. Want to learn more about St. Luke's and why you belong? Visit stlukesumc.com/about!

We’re a safe space for everyone to find community and discover a God who loves them.

Beyond The Horizon

We envision St. Luke’s as an explosive force of God’s radical, just, and inclusive love, reaching hundreds of thousands of people in Indianapolis and beyond who have given up on church or the possibility of a God who cares about them.

Multi-Site

A strategic plan in action to replicate our culture to other areas in Indianapolis and beyond; in physical and online presence.

Inclusive Expansion

Give attention to the ways our worship services connect with the diversity of ages, races, and spiritual needs of our community.

City Impact

Bring awareness, build relationships, and provide wrap-around services to ensure people have access to food, housing, education, and care.

Equip Disciples

Helping people connect their personal relationship with God to a call to impact and transform the world for Christ.

Multi-Site

Extending our reach beyond our current geographic location. We believe this will look like a number of things:

  • Digital Campus that better connects the hundreds of people who join us online and do not have ability to connect with us in person
  • Micro-sites of St. Luke’s: gatherings of people in communities where folks are joining us online and where we might connect them in person for fellowship, study opportunities, and missional engagement.
  • Launching St. Luke's - Midtown (a new physical campus) in December

If you'd like more information about getting involved in multi-sites, contact Dr. Rev. Jevon Caldwell-Gross.

Inclusive Expansion

How our worship and hospitality welcomes the diverse populations around us and what unintended obstacles we face. Our goals are:

  • Increase our worship attendance by 10% by June 2024
  • Conduct a series of listening sessions
  • Help people feel safe, included, and inspired so that we can reach those who have given up on church or the possibility of a God who loves them

If you'd like more information about getting involved in Inclusive Expansion, contact Dr. Ryan Poe.

City Impact

An effort to relieve the suffering and improve the lives of our neighbors living in greatest need and at greatest risk. The four key aspects we plan to focus on:

  • Increase the impact of Four Outreach Initiatives we already have—Housing, Education, Food Insecurity, and Justice
  • Launch a Freedom School in summer 2022
  • Raise $100,000 for Hub for Hope
  • Train and deploy 75 Hope Ambassadors

If you'd like more information about getting involved in City Impact, contact Rev. Nicole Caldwell-Gross.

Equipping Disciples

Moving people beyond just attending church activities to experiencing genuine life-transformation by living out their faith as fully engaged, followers of Jesus Christ. To do this we will:

  • Offer clear pathways for spiritual growth, faith-sharing, serving with our gifts, and developing leaders
  • Create a connection team
  • Create a team to identify, train and equip new leaders in the church who represent the diversity of our congregation and the community around us.
  • 5-3-1 Challenge Results: 2,000+ prayed for | 1,800+ invited | 1,000+ came to St. Luke's for the first time in March/April

If you'd like more information about getting involved in Equipping Disciples, contact Rev. Mindie Moore.
