Connections Books & Gifts

Open EVERY Sunday from 8:45am-12:30pm

The Connections Books & Gifts Store is a great place to do your holiday shopping! Not only is there a great selection of gifts, but the profits directly support families in need in Washington Township. Here are a few fun facts that you might not have known:

  • All profits are donated to Outreach Ministry to benefit Hub for Hope and our rent/utility assistance program for families in need.
  • So far this year, the profits from the store have helped 52 families in Washington Township for a total of nearly $20,000.
  • The store is volunteer run and led! We are so thankful for the many volunteers who work so hard all year long.

To help facilitate your shopping, there are special holiday hours throughout the month of December:

Wednesdays in December from 11-2
Special Evening Shopping on December 11 from 4-8pm

Angel Tree

Our 2024 Angel Tree Outreach is underway, and it’s shaping up to be our biggest year yet!

We have invited 125 families with over 315 children to shop at our Angel Tree “store” on December 21. This includes families referred to us by Washington Township schools, Dove Recovery House, and Healthy Beginnings at Home.

Angel Tree also provides gifts for 200 homeless youth at Outreach, Inc. And this year, our Diaper Pantry families will receive a Wal-Mart giftcard and a stocking for each child, handmade by United Women in Faith’s Projects with a Purpose group.

There are multiple ways you can support Angel Tree this Christmas. You can buy gifts, you can volunteer your time, or you can make a donation. No matter how you choose to be involved, your contribution will make an impact!

Congratulations to United Women in Faith!

Congratulations to our United Women in Faith, who have had a banner year of fundraising through their Rummage Sales and Holiday Bazaar! At their upcoming Christmas dinner, they will be awarding $21,000 in grant funds to organizations working on behalf of marginalized women and children around the world. Thank you, UWF, for your long history and commitment to justice for the least of these!

Also, we want to extend our thanks to Judy Jenkins, pictured here, for her service as the St. Luke's UWF president for the past 2 years!
