Charitable Rollovers
January 31, 2025

If you are 73 or older this year and you own a traditional IRA, you will need to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) before the end of the year. Consider making an IRA charitable rollover gift. You can make a gift of up to $108,000 from your IRA to St. Luke’s in 2025. Your gift will:
- Satisfy some or all of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year.
- Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions.
- Not be subject to the 60% limitation on charitable gifts.
- Help St. Luke’s fulfill its mission to help people find and give hope through Jesus Christ.
A charitable rollover from your IRA to St. Luke’s must be made before distributing any direct IRA to yourself. Thus, now is a good time to decide how you wish to use your RMD for 2025. Thank you for helping St. Luke’s fulfill its mission.
