And, during polarizing times like these, it can be a challenge. Join us for an informational meeting hosted by the Immigrant Welcome Center. The focus of this gathering will aim to help us understand the vibrancy, value, and complexity of immigrant communities in Indianapolis and the unique challenges that even legal immigrants face today. Childcare and lunch will be provided, and registration is required.

“As United Methodists, our Social Principles affirm our commitment to offer support and welcome immigrants, migrants and refugees into our congregations,” says Bishop Julius C. Trimble, General Secretary of The Board of Church and Society of The United Methodist Church. “As people of faith committed to justice, compassion, and dignity for all, we strongly oppose ICE raids that harm immigrant communities, create fear, separate families, and go against our moral calling to welcome and protect the vulnerable.

Immigrant Welcome Center provides comprehensive immigrant support, community integration, and advocacy. They are a trusted partner and advocate for all immigrants, and they offer multiple options to volunteer. You can assist immigrants in their journey to become naturalized citizens and also help immigrants learn English. There are many other options, so head to the link below to see where you can lend a hand. 

This fund will allow us to provide fees related to obtaining passports, taking citizenship classes and tests, obtaining employment cards, and other needs as referred to us.

Hub for Hope supports our neighbors with resources like rent and utility assistance, diapers and baby items, and a safe place to build supportive relationships. Many of these most vulnerable neighbors 

Crooked Creek Food Pantry, Inc. is a drive-thru food pantry working to eliminate hunger while building relationships to support the needs of families and persons it serves.

There is a lot of anxiety and fear because of the government threat of mass deportations. This packet helps parents create a legal plan for the care of their children should they be detained or deported.

The Immigrant Welcome Center is a trusted advocate for all immigrants. They connect immigrants to educative, language, legal, and community partner resources.
