We listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people when they need it most. We’ve all been there. We’ve all needed help, too. Stephen Ministers provide confidential, non-judgmental, free, private, and tailored care to meet your schedule.

What is a Stephen Minister?

By becoming a Stephen Minister, you will attend special trainings that will teach you how to provide one-on-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community experiencing many life challenges.

Once you become a Stephen Minister, you will immediately learn the skills of listening, compassion, encouragement, prayer, confidentiality, and so much more. You will also receive continuing and ongoing bi-monthly small group support and education.

When you become a Stephen Minister, you won't be alone! You will be in a relationship with the care receiver along with the rest of the Stephen Ministry team. This is a great way to develop amazing bonds with others at St. Luke's.
