This 5 week class will begin meeting on Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30 PM.
Creation Care: A Call to Hope and Action
Stepping away from the gloom and doom, this class is not as much about facts, as to find hope, a change of heart and new way of thinking. As Christians we are being asked to see our beautiful world anew. We are invited to rethink some stories we’ve been told, revisit our approach to creation and Christ’s ultimate promise of redemption and renewal. Through discussions, meditations, prayer and studying relevant Old and New Testament scriptures, we will see Creation and God’s plan for us in a fresh new light. The class is to help awaken the dreamer within and encourage us to live a life in positive relationship with God, each other and Earth itself.
Our book, “Climate Justice: A Call to Hope and Action” offers direction to seek holy grounding in our beliefs and actions, through the Wesleyan lens as we see how our individual/cumulative actions affect all living things and all are deeply intertwined. Through Christian love and action we find blessings and hope in answering the call to be part of the God’s promised restoration.
Books have been donated by National UWF and an audio book can also be found on Audible.
This is the first of two classes using UWF Book Climate Justice: A Call to Hope and Action.
Wednesday Night Dinners at 5:15 are gifted by Creation Care Ministries.
