You won't want to miss this multi-faith study on Matthew Desmond's latest book Poverty, by America.
"In this new book, Desmond examines the intricate web of visible and invisible forces that keep so many Americans poor…It will take faith to work toward something presently unimaginable, hope to know that it is possible, and love—that irrational emotion that leads us to sacrifice when there is nothing for us to gain, when there’s even something for us to lose.” ~ Review by Tony Tian-Ren Lin
This multi-faith study will be hosted at a different congregation each week, giving members the opportunity to experience unique perspectives brought by different houses of faith and their members. You can attend any or all of the 4 weeks in this study.
We believe that our faith traditions call us to love our neighbors and we are encouraging you to read this book, hear the call of our faiths, and work together to make a difference in our communities. Register
