Dementia Friends Indiana
Saturday, December 10
Want to learn more about dementia? Join us at the inaugural offering of this 60-minute session of “Dementia Friends Indiana” (DFI). DFI is a global movement started in 2017. The goals of DFI are multifold, including advancing education and awareness of dementia, reducing the stigma associated with the condition, taking actions to create welcoming communities for those living with dementia, and appreciating the perspective of those living with the condition, as well as their caregivers. DFI is administered in Indiana by CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions and will be offered for the first time at St. Lukes by Dr. Glenda Westmoreland, member, board-certified geriatrician, and Dementia Friends Champion. This event is limited to 10 participants.
