North Indy Campus
Teen Responders is hosting our second Teen Mental Health Crisis Response Workshop! This FREE workshop is designed to help teens (grades 7-12) have the tools, skills, and resources to care well for their own mental health and respond to their peers in crisis. We also have an adult workshop happening simultaneously in a different room in the building, which helps adults be empowered to care well for the mental health of the teens in their lives.
The workshop is interactive and informative, and each teen participant will leave with a Mental Health Response Kit filled with small items to help them care for their own mental health as well. The three main topics, which are led by licensed mental health professionals, include:
Boundaries and Self-Care
Healthy Coping Strategies
Responding to a Friend in Crisis
NOTE: This is NOT a religious event or Christian counseling. This event is led by professionals for teens and adults from all backgrounds and is LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Registration capped at 200, closes the night of Sunday, October 30th.
