8 Weeks of Discernment

A Word Before You Begin

You are part of something sacred.

St. Luke's United Methodist Church has been on a journey of succession — prayerfully planning for the future of our congregation and the leadership that will carry us forward. That journey continues here, and we want you to be a part of it.

Over the next eight weeks, we invite you to set aside a few quiet moments each week to reflect on a single question. Each reflection is submitted anonymously and will be gathered and shared with the succession team as we discern together what God is calling St. Luke's to become.

Whether you've been a member for decades or you're joining us for the first time, your voice matters here. This is a spiritual practice open to all — a chance to deepen your relationship with God and to contribute to the future of this community.

Week 6 of 8
This Week's Reflection

In this week's scripture, we observe a man in crisis and a contrast in how the town is unable to care for him, but Jesus does. What could it mean for The Church to show up faithfully for people in crisis today?
