Welcome
Our hope is that you will find St. Lukes to be a
positive, caring environment for children as they journey from
infancy into their preadolescent years. Many hands and hearts
create the atmosphere in our East Wing as we fulfill our purpose
and mission.
Faith memories are those memories created with our families, community of faith, and friends that remind us of Gods unconditional love. They can be built during infant baptism, child care, Sunday School, childrens worships, fellowship events, and a multitude of other experiences and relationships. Our desire is that children will build an abundance of faith memories to carry them into adolescence and adulthood.
Registration
Registering your child or children in the St. Lukes Childrens Ministries program is quick, easy and free! Registration forms may be filled out at any time during the year. The forms are available in the Education Office. The Childrens Wing staff are happy to answer any questions you have.
Volunteering
Every good and wonderful thing that happens at St. Lukes
happens because of Gods love, grace, and our wonderful
volunteers! The Childrens Ministries program is certainly
no exception. There would be no Childrens Ministries program
without volunteers. With the exception of three paid staff members,
the entire program is run by volunteers. It takes 125 generous
souls each month to man our childcare activities alone.
It is not necessary to have a Masters in Child
Development, Religious Studies or Art to qualify. All that is
needed is a warm heart, loving hands, and as little as one Sunday
a month of your time. There are multiple ways to volunteer, from
short- to long-term, event management to child care. You need
not yet be a member of the church.
If you are interested in discovering the rewards of volunteering in the Childrens Ministries area, please call the Education Office (846-2745 x307). Wed love to hear from you.
Security
Your childs safety is our concern too. Children 11
years of age and under are in the safest environment at St. Lukes
by (1) being with their parent or an adult, and (2) being in a
volunteer or paid staffed classroom or child care room. To facilitate
our child safety program, families in the infant, toddler and
beginner area have a pager system. Your cooperation in dropping
off and picking up your children personally is appreciated by
the teachers, staff and your children!
For more information, please look through the rest of this site and feel free to call the St. Luke's office at 846-3404.
