The St. Luke’s Dream Keepers Panel was developed in 2020 out of St. Luke’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist church and to supporting and expanding diversity of color within our congregation. The Dream Keepers Panel seeks to provide a space for people of color to share perspectives on how they see the dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. being lived out in our community today. It also offers an opportunity for St. Luke’s white community to deepen their understanding of the lived reality of their neighbors of color. This discussion is designed to move us beyond the polarizing topic of gun ownership to peaceful and meaningful actions you can take to fulfill the vision of a beloved community where injustice ceases and love prevails.
This year's panel included DeAndra Dycus, Rev. Angelo Mante, Rev. John Russell and was hosted by Susan Peters. Throughout the discussion the panelists mention impactful resources, we have compiled that list for you.
