The St. Luke’s Dream Keepers Panel was developed in 2020 out of St. Luke’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist church and to supporting and expanding diversity of color within our congregation. The Dream Keepers Panel seeks to provide a space for people of color to share perspectives on how they see the dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. being lived out in our community today. It also offers an opportunity for St. Luke’s white community to deepen their understanding of the lived reality of their neighbors of color. For 2023, we hope it invites discussion between panelists about the successes and challenges facing our community with regard to equity and diversity in education.
This year's panel included Dr. Lasana Kazembe, Clete Ladd, Ryan Calvin and was hosted by Leslie Bowles. Throughout the discussion the panelists mention impactful resources, we have compiled that list for you.
