Lenten “Spiritual Spring Training” Opportunities

Our Together In Ministry (T.I.M.E.) theme for Lent is "Spiritual Spring Training." Stay in shape during the week at the Midweek Lenten Worship services on Wednesdays now through March 31 at Noon in Robertson Chapel. See the March Communion Monthly for all the Spiritual Spring Training offerings. Check out one of four Guided Meditations recorded by Dr. Kent Millard, Scott Semester, Barbara Burke and Carol Ernst -- either listen online or download the mp3 files. Job Opening - Associate Director Youth

Effective March 1, 2010
St. Luke's has an opening for an Associate Director for Junior High Youth ministries who will provide intentional ministry for grades 6-8. This Associate brings energy to the Jr. High youth, develops youth and adult leadership, works as a team with the Associate Director for Sr. High Youth and Director of Youth Ministries, connects well with teens, and creates ministry opportunities that promote youth involvement at St. Luke’s UMC.

An Evening for Haiti

"Though They Stumble...They Shall Not Fall: An Evening for Haiti" will take place at Oak Hill Mansion (116th & Hazel Dell Parkway). Tickets are $25/person ($200 to reserve a table of eight). Hosted by St. Luke’s Singles and the Inclusiveness Team. Members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church are invited to put their Lenten Spiritual Spring Training to use on Saturday, April 10. Starting at 9 a.m. in the Great Hall, teams will be formed to take action.

Dalai Lama Public Talk

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will speak at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday, May 14. Tickets are $25/person or $15/student and may be purchased in person at the Conseco Fieldhouse box office, or online through Ticketmaster (additional charges will apply to Ticketmaster purchases). The program will be hosted by the Interfaith Hunger Initiative (IHI), the Indiana Buddhist Center (IBC) and the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center (TMBCC) in Bloomington. Proceeds will benefit IHI and TMBCC.
