United Methodist Women's mission is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The United Methodist Women provide an outlet for adult women to channel their involvement in St. Luke's ministries. Through several circles, a community of more than 400 women live UMW's mission. Organized by age and interest, UMW circles meet regularly and undertake individual projects. Members also pull together for annual fundraising projects, which include two rummage sales and a holiday bazaar.
Each year the United Methodist Women of St. Luke's raise and distribute over $20,000 to many organizations within our church and community, as well as to world missions. UMW also participates in sponsoring several area food pantries, provides summer lunches for children at Brightwood and Fletcher Community Centers, and raises funds and delivers goods and food for Fletcher Place's annual Christmas shopping program. Semi-Annual Food Drive
March 2010
Increasing numbers of Hoosier families are going hungry due to job losses or reductions in income. To provide emergency food assistance, St. Luke's United Methodist Women are sponsoring four local food pantries through the semi-annual Food Drive. Collections bins are located in the East and West Passages of the church during the entire month of March.
Race for the Cure

St. Luke's UMW has sponsored a team in this important event for many years. Online registration is now open to women, men and children of all ages. Be a part of the cure in 2010.
Rummage Sale

Spring is nearly here, and so is the St. Luke’s UMW Rummage Sale! Get a jump start on spring cleaning and set aside items to donate.
Send items that are clean, in good condition, & can be reused by others. Come shop the Sale Friday and give found items a new life. Sponsored by St. Luke's United Methodist Women.
