United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women's mission is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The United Methodist Women provide an outlet for adult women to channel their involvement in St. Luke's ministries. Through several circles, a community of more than 400 women live UMW's mission. Organized by age and interest, UMW circles meet regularly and undertake individual projects. Members also pull together for annual fundraising projects, which include two rummage sales and a holiday bazaar. More information may be found at the UMW of Indiana website.
Each year the United Methodist Women of St. Luke's raise and distribute over $20,000 to many organizations within our church and community, as well as to world missions. UMW also participates in sponsoring several area food pantries, provides summer lunches for children at Brightwood and Fletcher Community Centers, and raises funds and delivers goods and food for Fletcher Place's annual Christmas shopping program.
